Difficult Times Ahead
Why prepare?
The Holy Scriptures tell us definitively, that there will be difficult times ahead. We are watching this in real time. There are different schools of theological thought on the end times. We do not wish to engage, only to say, that we are ignorant of the Mind of God. We, therefore, take it as our mission to help the people of the United States of America prepare.
BREAD AND CIRCUS
There is an old Roman proverb, called Bread and Circus. It basically states, that if the people are fat and entertained, the government can do as they please. This is the reason that Americans are in this position today.
Naïve Prey Syndrome
In Yellowstone Nation Park many years ago the wolf was removed from the environment. In the absence of the wolf, the Elk population multiplied. The wolf returned years later to balance the ecosystem. The elk was unaware the wolf was a predator. The wolves surrounded the elk, with no resistance. In America, some may say we suffer naïve prey syndrome.
Solar Flares
The Sun emits Solar Flares, radioactive bursts of energy. This is an event that could leave the entire planet without power. The last solar flare, that large, stuck in 1859. It would mean no electricity, internet, communications, clean water, gasoline etc. This is an inevitable environmental scenario. It is estimated that 90 percent of the US population would be deceased within 1 year, if this occurred. This is an environmental factor that will almost certainly occur in the future.
Volcanic Winter
The year 536 AD was perhaps the worst time in human history. Three major volcanos erupted at approximately the same time. This left volcanic ash in the atmosphere for an entire year. There were crop failures worldwide. This led to mass starvation and unspeakable suffering. There is a Mega Volcano underneath Yellowstone National Park. This environmental event is only a matter of time. This is the reason we must preserve emergency food rations.
Chinese High-Speed Railroad
We must recognize that our major world competitor, China, is building a high-speed railroad that will connect Asia, Africa and Europe. When this project is complete, it will mean that China will have the ability to quickly transport cheap goods around most of the world. When this occurs, the US economy may be crippled. How can we compete in the world market, at that time. Therefore, there is an urgent need to prepare the US citizen for self-sufficiency.
summary
There will always be threats to the America way of life. This is by no means an all-inclusive list of threats, that America faces today. However, the preceding information will hopefully help the Church understand the task in front of us all. Working together as the family of God, in this time, is more important than ever. We must lay aside our different theology and work together for our common welfare.
